The practice model is based on the direct care model in which clients pay a membership fee in exchange for services. With regard to style, the practice does not affiliate with any specific brand or style of medicine such as functional, integrative, or alternative medicine. Rather, Dr. Kornweiss seeks the best information and approach on an individualized case by case basis.

Clients with any private insurance may join the practice, but services rendered by Kornweiss Medical are paid for by a monthly membership fee. Clients are still encouraged to carry an insurance policy to cover medical emergencies, surgeries, and other unforeseen health expenses. Insurance plans may also be used to pay for labs and imaging.
Yes. Insurance is for unpredictable, unaffordable, and unlikely, but plausible catastrophes. Without health insurance, you are at risk of financial devastation. Working with a direct care physician such as myself does not replace insurance, but it can often help save significant amounts of money on healthcare. Health insurance, and other forms of insurance, are often priced based on your current and past health. By working with me to improve your health, it is possible that insurance could become more affordable for you in the future.
