In terms of our business model, the practice is a direct care practice in which clients pay a membership fee in exchange for services. In regard to the style of medicine, the practice does not affiliate with any specific brand or style of medicine. Rather, we follow our own philosophy and process in which we critically analyze each client on an individualized basis.

It depends. To form a doctor-patient relationship, and to order diagnostics or treatments, I must be licensed in your state, or you must come to mine. In select cases, I may be able to provide general information that would not qualify as medical care, diagnosis, or treatment for out-of-state clients. Not for my services. I cannot accept any private insurance, medicare, or medicaid. However, you can either take advantage of wholesale labs, radiology, and medication prices, or you can use your insurance to pay for these services. Most of my clients choose to maintain their insurance for catastrophic coverage, and despite my membership fees, I am usually able to save my clients both time and money.

Yes. Insurance is for unpredictable, unaffordable, and unlikely, but plausible catastrophes. Without health insurance, you are at risk of financial devastation. Working with a direct care physician such as myself does not replace insurance, but it can often help save significant amounts of money on healthcare. By improving your health, it is also possible that insurance could become more affordable for you in the future.
